Maybe someone has asked you that question and you haven't known how to answer it.You might say, from what? why? and how? Below is a slideshow of Scriptures that tell of the need to be saved and what Jesus did to provide that salvation for all who believe.
We are all sinners and the Bible clearly states that we deserve the penalty for our sin. That penalty is eternal separation from God in hell. God gave the Law outlined in the 10 Commandments. Jesus said that anyone who broke even one of those commandments deserved to be punished. In the Old Testament the priest would sacrifice animals as sin offering. The animals had to be perfect, without spot or blemish. But even in the Old Testament (the Old Covenant) God said that He would make a New Covenant He knew that no one could keep the whole law. In His great love He sent His Son Jesus as the offering for our sin. He is the Lamb of God, without blemish and without sin and therefore the perfect sacrifice for our sin. Jesus paid the price for our sin when he died on the cross.

Tell Him you are sorry and you will turn away from sin with His help. Ask Jesus to forgive your sin and to come into your heart and give you the new life He promises in the Word of God.
