Joseph's   Pantry

FWC has always maintained a small pantry to help families with emergency food needs. On April 18, 2010, the church held a fundraiser at the Strand Theater in Clinton.  Many in the community attended the showing of the movie "Hachi - A Dog's Tale" and contributed both food items and cash to help increase the scope of our food ministry.  While still in its infancy the church plans to have a regularly scheduled distribution of food to those in need both in and outside of our church.  Stay tuned!

Originally we thought to name the pantry, "Bread of Life."  However, God has showed us that it is to be called "Joseph's Pantry"  In the Old Testament story about Joseph we see that God used him to provide food in a time of great famine. He has called us to be a storehouse of provision for those in need in our body and in our area just as Joseph was in his day - even to his own brothers.  We are in the midst of difficult economic times and they may get worse before they get better. As God provides to us, we will be a resource to the hungry in our area.
