Worship at FWC

“But the hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for the Father is seeking such to worship Him. “

John 4:23 NKJV

Contrary to popular belief, there is no one right way to worship. Some do it sitting in their seats. Others do it standing on their seats. Some are silent, hands folded in their laps. Others are enthusiastic, hands raised in the air. Each of these forms is valid, provided that we are “true worshipers” who “will worship the Father in Spirit and truth”.  (John 4:23)

The role of the Worship team at Freedom Worship Center is to facilitate that process through music. The particular style we bring to each service is often called “Contemporary Christian” or “Modern Worship” and is identified with such artists as Paul Baloche, Rita Springer and Chris Tomlin, as well as by music of our own.

Musical worship, like all other forms of worship, is most effective when we prepare our hearts for it.  For the Worship Team this calls for sensitivity in both selecting the songs as well as in presenting them. Attend one of our services and you’ll note that we do not simply “run through” a play list. We may begin singing extemporaneously in response to some prodding by the Spirit. We will most definitely pause between songs in anticipation of His arrival.  And when the Spirit does “show up”, you’ll see how His presence can manifest Itself through the church body with prophecies and other forms of expression.

If ours is the first such service you attend, it will certainly be different! But an encounter with our Living God is an experience like no other, and when it happens you will be blessed by it.  We look forward to having you join us to worship Him, in Spirit and in truth.
